I'm Going To Be A USA Soccer Sports Ambassador! People to People Sports Ambassador Program is offering me the chance to compete in soccer yeah! I will train with legendary coaches, develop leadership skills and I am going to a once in a life time place, Brazil, the birthplace (actually China, but that just doesn't seam right. Ask any Brazillian!) of soccer. Young athletes travel across the globe as Sports Ambassadors, eager to get a new perspective on their favorite sport or to develop as leaders while they explore a wide range of sports and fitness activities. Overseas, they encounter new cultures, challenge themselves to become stronger athletes, and make friends all across the globe. I Will Compete Like an Olympian Sports Ambassadors on tournament-based programs will experience the thrill of Olympic-style competition, from festive opening ceremonies to match-ups with top teams from other nations. These Ambassadors train under all-star head coaches—many of them Olympic gold medalists—before the tournament in an intensive training camp. Personalized instruction, individual skills assessments, and exposure to some of their sport’s most outstanding athletes and coaches give Sports Ambassadors the confidence to live up to their athletic potential. I Will See the World in a New Light Sports Ambassadors are not only athletes; they are also future leaders learning about the world. For this reason, the People to People experience includes pre-travel preparation and interaction with a delegation full of new friends, and educational materials to introduce the unique history and culture that Ambassadors will be able to see, hear, and touch during the program. I will be represent America in its best light. I will be building friendships with international athletes and contributing to local charities in their host cities.
